Color Change Contacts

Color Change Contacts
are the latest trend in both beauty
products and in contact lenses.
Being able to change your eye
color is as simple as slipping a
soft lens into your eye. You
don’t even need to have your
vision corrected; anyone can
now buy and wear color change
contacts solely for the purpose
of changing their eye color.

Freshlook Color Contacts
is one of the biggest names and
an industry leader in color change
contacts. Working together with
optometrists, Freshlook provides trial contacts so that clients can go for an eye exam and try on a pair of contacts. Freshlook’s website asks the web-surfer to upload a photo so that you can see what you look like with different colored eyes.

It can be a lot of fun to change your eye color, but doctors have warned wearers not to share their contact lenses with anyone. Contact lenses are medical devices and are specially fitted to each person’s eyes.

]Sharing contact lenses can also spread harmful bacteria that can lead to an eye infection or other dangerous eye conditions.
Color contacts, like clear contact lenses, must be properly cleaned and disinfected with appropriate cleaning products. Ask your doctor which cleaning products are best for your particular lenses.
Beginning in November 2005 the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) began regulating the sale of color change contacts as medical devices requiring a prescription. Previous to this, color change contacts were sold without prescription to anyone who wanted a pair. It is possible that they are still being sold illegally on the black market, but be aware that any contact lenses you see being sold without prescription are not legal and could be dangerous.
